Carry "Lunchbox" in your lunchbox -Richard Kapp and The Gowns available on CD @ CD Baby.com, Itunes & Amazon.Com
As I listened to this beautiful album I gazed out the window and watched the trees they seemed to be dancing and waving to the melodies emanating from my musik box as if in agreement. Enchantingly beautiful, Richard Kapp and his posse have together produced a scintillating collection of tracks which is amazing to find all on one album making it excellent value for money. I found to really get this music one needs to listen intently, it demands one's fullest attention to appreciate and respect this fine body of work. Each track is delectably unique, take your time to drink it in and savor it. The innocence, wonder and magic of the track "Lunchbox" and the brilliant "Cocoon Man" are real gems. "Another Town" and "Sweet Melody" are beautiful too. In fact all the tracks stand on their own as beautiful timeless compositions; lyrics all arranged in a playful and quirky manner. The Song "Another Town" was recorded via the internet with the German singer/songwriter Ina Simone and the bass on "Driving Lessons" was recorded by the US Jazz Legend Tony Cimorosi who played with Randy Brecker and Alex Foster et al. After listening to "Lunchbox" a few times you'll find yourself dipping into "Lunchbox" for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I highly recommend this for all music lovers everywhere, here is an Album you'll be glad you bought.

            Asterisk, - Richard Kapp
Take a stroll into Asterisk and be charmed and delighted as you listen to every note, every beat, every nuance contained within it. The piano playing tickles your eardrums in "Warm and Safe". "VIP" is a treat because it changes tempo and "Cheezy Song" even contains a little bit of yodelling. "Wake Up It's Me" features the amazing Barbara Gilles I get the feeling that anything is possible with this artist. It's quite a feat to write highly original songs; underlying these playful, quirky tunes is a whole stratosphere of musical skill and quiet sophistication. Listen to this music deeply, listen well and you will be overjoyed.
The beauty is indeed in the details.

            Richard Kapp's "Short Songs" CD
Intelligent, playful, insightful lyrics, this artist's music just keeps growing on you with each listen. "Each Day is a Gift" is a timely reminder of the nature of things and not to take life for granted. "Wasting" is a feat, "Join My Ride" quirky, jolly and fun. A touch of melancholy in "Time" beautifully arranged and quite magical. Mr. Kapp employs an exceptional attention to detail in  his music. The song "When They're Sleeping" even incorporates the sound of a train's wheels to add to the mood of the song. There is something for everyone here as each little song has it's own uniqueness in sound and arrangement. A lovely little introduction to Richard Kapp's music.
